SHHS Class of 1968 Reunion Gig was HUGE!

45 Classmates and an additional 80 spouses and public attended the event. Highlight of the evening was the appearance of the JADDEL Trio. The Sunshine Tomorrow Rises Again!

The boys are dusting off their vintage guitars, drums and amps and will be powering up for the SHHS Class of 68’s 45th Class Reunion on Sat, Jun 29th, 2013. The event is being held in the Randall gym, the site of their senior prom! Special guest singers will be Amy (Engelby) Vaubel, Jennifer (Dick) Allen, and Doris (Lass) Neuman Dalbey singing My Boyfriends Back! The reunion is open to the public after 8:00 PM – DO NOT MISS this historic event of 60’s music where you know the words and can sing and dance to every song.

The Sunshine Tomorrow in Decatur, Il

Loren and Donna Luppes have graciously invited all Sunshine Tomorrow band members to a band practice and hootnanny at their home in Decatur, IL during the Memorial Day Weekend, 2010. The grueling practice sessions are to prepare for a show at the South Hamilton High School (SHHS) Class of 1970’s Class Reunion on 26 June 2010 in Jewell, IA.  The Decatur practice session will culmintate with a show for about 100 invited guests at the Luppes home/garage. The band will be performing several new oldies: Journey To The Center of Your Mind, Kind of A Drag, and Sloop John B.

Sunshine Tomorrow Returns to Decatur, IL

The Decatur practice session will culmintate with a show for about 100 invited guests at the Luppes home/garage. The band will be performing the Number 1 hit of 1969: Sugar Sugar by the Ides of March.

Gail and Amy Sing at Dayton Dragons Game

The Kirkmont Mixed Quartet sang the National Anthem at the Dayton Dragons baseball game on May 6th, 2009. The quartet is Gail – bass, Amy – saprano, Pam Yri – alto, and John Jackson – tenor. They tried out at the Dayton Mall March 28, 2009 along with over 400 other try-out contenders, Only 70 selections were made for the Dragon’s home games. The crowd was very responsive to the quartet’s rendition of the Star Spangled Banner!

Sunshine Tomorrow and Surfinks Unite for SHHS Class of ’68 Reunion

Two members of The Sunshine Tomorrow band, Brian Holt and Gail Vaubel, played in Jewell Bowling Alley “Axis Lanes” on Friday 25 Jul 08 to a standing room only crowd. The gig was put together by Ray Burkhart of The Barefooted Surfinks to entertain the SHHS Class of 1968’s informal get together. Overall, it went quite well – fans Amy and Nancy said the band sounded great – solid and clean. Ray Burkhart, played bass and made the set list of tunes.
